Is it me or braids are "in" this season? I've spotted a lot of people wearing some braids here and there and since I've been a bit obsessed with them myself, thought it would be good to share the looks I usually go for!
I may sound very disgusting right now but I wash my hair every 3 days, I used to do it everyday and my hair got so weak that if I constantly wash it, I'll go bald soon!
Even with the oiliest scalps, I can tell dry shampoo can do a lot for me on the 2nd and 3rd days, but also styling it helps taking attention from the root itself and bring it to an overall, complexed look, that in fact is as easy as a ponytail!
On the second day if I'm bored of the down braids I just cross them at the back and hold them with bobby pins on the top making a beautiful yet very simple up do! The messier it gets the more I like it!
On the third day I always go for either a half braid or just wavy hair! To do this I simply undo the braids till I reach the top of my neck, or my hear, and I put an elastic at that point, it looks like piggy tails, but in my opinion, better! The wavy look at the lower end gives a twist to the braid breaking the "formality" of the look.
Lastly I also like to go for the free waves, naturally created by the braids themselves, heat and damage free!

Usually powder is not a thing people talk much about, unless they suffer from severe oiliness. I have combination to oily skin and as far as I remember powder was one of the very first makeup items I used, it still remains one of the most important to me!

It's been years and years since I decided to become a makeup artist, I never had the approve stamp from my parents...
Which brought me to where I am now. Started with Art in Secondary School, 3 years of creative content, video exploration, observation drawing that I totally hated for some reason and the eternal expectation of applying some of my knowledge into what I really wanted to do. It was never a problem to have an idea for my future, never struggled to think of what I want next, what I want at the end of things.
A while ago I was doing some research on the best beauty books for inspiration and tips. I’m usually too picky when it takes to books, doesn’t matter the subject. In this particular case it got worse when all I could find was the same ol’ stories… I know Bobbi Brow books are good but not what I expect to learn… Since basics are all in I now feel the need to go for something more daring, the best of the best, the artistic, the supreme and that was hard!
I'm not usually a girl of pinks, and I honestly can't justify the amount of pink lip liners I own, but in a good way, most of them are drugstore which makes me feel a tad bit better!
I'm trying to get out of the comfort zone, even thou it is a hard thing to do when you love your vampy shades all year around, but still, I can always try!
Illamasqua, has always been one of the brands catching my eye but a tad bit expensive for my wallet! I got one of their lipsticks a few months ago and fell in love with the texture and shade!
Browsing through their news I found out about their sales and girl, they do them amazingly! This happened a while ago, so you probably won't find these products on sales anymore, but still is worth keeping an eye on for next sales events!
I managed to pick 3 items and since I played with them a bit more by now I can give you my thoughts on them!
I was wondering, once again, why social media took such important place in people's life. Letting alone the fact we all like to know about each other's accomplishments, dinners or travels, I still don't understand why I'm a better blogger if I share my post 3 times a day on every social media available to date!
Why I'm a better writer if I share a bit of the text on twitter, facebook and whatever page you may think of right now... why I'm a better photographer if I spend endless time adding filters to my blog photos on instagram... why I'm more successful if I interact with people I don't know!
Cocoa Blend by Zoeva, might be the most talked about palette of 2015, probably more than their brushes! Needless to say the brushes are some of my favourite for years but I never gave their makeup a proper try!
After endless amazing reviews I decided it was time to pick this palette up, and I'm a tad bit disappointed to say the least...
The shade selection is nothing that special, I own most of these shades in other palettes but still, it is a nice combination if you love warm shadows - like I do - since it's only 15£! Not much harm to the wallet!
Packaging, is slim cardboard, closes on magnets and has a decent size to it, good for travelling for sure! It comes with 10 round pan eyeshadows with 1,5g each, varying from matte to shimmery finishes with some pops of colours between the neutrals!
My big disappointment with this is the fall out and colour pay off! As the Vice 4 I need to do eyes before face when using this, which is a bit of a pain since I don't like to start with that, when I'm in a hurry, but oh well, it has to be this way otherwise I end up with my face full of eyeshadow!
Most of the shades are my cup of tea, the ones I like the least are Beans Are White and Infusion, the two darker shades that look the same... Colour pay off is not up to my standards of good, I pack colour and the more I pack seems the more I'm taking off... it happened with higher end palettes before, I'm not saying it's due to the price or brand itself, just this particular palette, as it's the only one I own by the brand, doesn't show up as much as I'd like to on my eyes.
Still I love most of the shades, starting with Bitter Start as the perfect brow bone shade and Sweeter End to the inner corner! Substitute For Love and Freshly Toasted are also amazing for the crease, but still I would grab Cocoa Bear and Frappe from Makeup Geek first...

As you can see by the swatches the shimmery ones show up better than the matte ones, even thou Infusion lacks on pigmentation and the shimmer is barely noticeable!
Warm Notes was one of the shadows I though I would love the most, it looks good on the finger swatch but with a brush it's poorly pigmented and crumbles!
Overall, for me it is a big disappointment and I honestly can't see what the fuss is about, it is a good palette for the money? Yes, if you're into the one swipe eyeshadow or the washed out looks, but for someone like me, who loves intensity, good pigmentation and mostly, non patchiness, it is a big waste of time.
I can't really say all of their palettes are like this one, as I haven't tried any other and it happens that sometimes quality varies between batches, but still, it was not good enough to make me think of buying another one.
I will keep myself to their brushes that are undoubtedly amazing and leave makeup for someone else.
I must remind you my opinions are my own and not to be followed as a rule, read more about any product I mention and make up your own conclusions.

Blushed cheeks make all the difference, no matter the season or occasion, a little bit of rosy powder will bring any complexion to life.
One thing I've been loving lately is how versatile a blush colour can be, and even thou I own quite a few in my collection, I find the ones with multicolour are the best for the approaching season.
Baking is what I do for a living, aka my job! I enjoy it very much but as much as sweets are my thing I also enjoy cooking!
I'm a very picky person so I'd rather prepare my own food than buy it ready made from the supermarket, it's cheaper, funnier and you know what you actually get inside!
Today we're starting simple with a homemade soup! I love a good vegetable soup and even thou it can vary from day to day most of the times I opt for the ingredients above to complement it!
I select a different variety of vegetables mostly carrots, broccoli, potato, courgette and garlic! I also like to add spinach and onions sometimes! You can pretty much put whatever you fancy inside it, there's plenty of good vegetables out there that can give you energy and good nutrients for your body!
Now that you have your ingredients, peel the ones that need to be peeled and wash all of them, cut into pieces and put into a pan! I usually go for a medium sized pan and put water just to cover the vegetables, a pinch of salt and a bit of olive oil for some extra flavour!
I let it cook throughly, which depending on how much you have inside the pan may take 30-45min. When I stab a potato with a fork and it comes very soft almost crumbly I know it's time for the last step - grind it all!
I personally don't like soup with big bits on but if you enjoy it very much you can always take a portion out, grind the remain and put it all together at the end! On the other hand if you're like me and like a smooth soup just grind it all together in a food processor and let it cool.
Sometimes I feel the need to add a little bit more water if it gets too creamy but overall it mainly looks like this:

Ohh well, I can say now... I'm a weak person!
I failed completely my spending ban for the 1st month of March which will take consequences upon my final goal... less money for IMATS! *crying out loud*
Still, I managed to use up a whole lot of products which was also on my goals list! So not that bad...
At the beginning of the month I got me some Kiko makeup as I went to Oxford Street - that happens twice a year - so I justified the purge and the fact I spent just 30£ was not big of a deal at all...
